Singer Green?

Is there such a thing as a green Singer small machine? I didn't take a picture. The other I found was a Singer JG 638873 with the gold decals, 1871 , for 180.00 , will post pics. a little later. Singer Red Eye for 105.00 in cabinet 1920. Also does anybody know anything about Franklin Treadles?

I have a little green Singer, paid $50 for it and love it!

Yep, I got a 185 green machine too. My wife has it actually, she took it away from me. LOL.

The other prices seem to be a bit high to me, but then we're in different areas.

I have one also. Sews great... but very heavy to be so small!

I have another question is the spool holder suppose to be plastic?

I have one just like Deedum's also. Model 185K I believe. It's a nice little machine that I got via Craig's List for $25.

I have one also, paid $15.00 in cabinet at Salvation Army. Love it for piecing. In fact I keep it in my dining room with it open most of the time because I love the shape and color so much. Actually my favorite machine.

The one we have and the others I've seen in person are plastic. I've seen photos of one with a metal spool peg.

I too have this machine and love it....it has its own different sewing sound....and the color is a blast! I paid 25 at an antique store for it. Love the fact that my hobby is one of cheapest going :) although my DH would disagree and my kids call me the 'sewing freak'.
