Wow, WeedWoman, the thread path is exactly as I described it to Glenn, but much better as we now have a diagram to look at! Thank you!

Annamaria, that's a real pretty 15 clone. Love the color!

Here's a Pfaff 130 in a cabinet in my area for $75.

I had said it's any machine with the same body type as the green. These beige machines have the same friction, pulley drives as the green ones and hence the same issues...

That's a DEAL! Rescue that pretty baby!!! And if the motor doesn't work, I'd ask for lots less.

Would anyone here pay $300 for a black Centennial Special Edition Singer 301 Short Bed Sewing Machine?

I have two mocha 301 machines and paid $100 or less for each of them. Just wondered if I was not seeing something here. Seems to me people are beginning to ask too much for vintage machines.

I hope they label everything. I should just let them organize motors and foot controls or something... They can't move machines - too heavy. It's the little things they want to get into... ARGH - makes me very nervous - oh well I can't find anything anyway. I need to look for some high shank feet again - I couldn't find them on the quick look see. I saw that bobbin case yesterday but I'm betting I put it in the box I took over to the shop to try to re-unite with the other parts from that machine.

If they really want to help, I'd give them containers and all the spare feet, and maybe set up a low shank, a high shank, and a slant for them to check feet against. I would love for someone to come organize my feet. If they improve things, then more power to them. If they don't well, all isn't lost. Seriously, if you had a sister or mom who was good at painting, or wallpapering, or hemming things, and they offered, you'd likely take them up on it. Yours seem to think they have a talent for organizing- let them. Just keep in control of what they are doing, and review what they did at the end ( you can call this letting them show off) so that you can still find your stuff!
