I thought we were so smart with our computerized machines, but the stitches this one makes are lovely. And it has two throat plates to switch, depending on whether you are zigzagging or straight stitching. Funny that the brand new Janome 12000 has the same feature.......Everything old is new again I guess:) Thanks for looking!

I love that desk too!!! And the machine looks immaculate! Great find :)

Derla, Singer 99s sew beautifully. Have a look at my thread "Look at this bobbin winder" - I've now got the machine sewing and it is brilliant. I don't know about sewing machine motors (strictly hand machines or treadles in this house!) but cleaning up a machine is not that difficult. I taught myself because I either had to pay £35 to a repair man or do without, and I couldn't possibly do without!

Thanks so much. I got that at an estate auction where the couple had approximately 750 - 1000 sewing machines. All beautiful. I had already purchased one and DH said to try for this one. I was ready to drop out but I was encouraged to keep bidding and won out over an antique dealer/refurbisher. I have yet to figure out a name for her/him and so far the machine is silent aas to its name. Sews beautifully and this is the only one which came with a manul and attachments plus loads of bobbins.

You are one lucky gal! The machine looks like a Fritz, strong and feisty!

Thank you!! Fritz is the name. DD and I both like it. I am blessed with both a husband who understands my obsession somewhat and enables me with the obsession. DDs do not understand but cannot say much of anything - life is good!!

Hi,
Very nice machine and looks in very nice condition.

Do you have pdf copy of this owner's manual?
If yes, I would like to have a copy of this.

Secondly, where do I find the serial number on my New Home Vintage machine.

Thanks,

Ash :)
