Looking good!

You've really gotten that sewing machine looking great. Would you share what you did to achieve the results? What type cleaner did you use, did you use sandpaper, etc. Did you soak the inner workings in some type of oil?

From what I can tell so far, this is a rare 201-2 and I'll show you why in a bit.
When I got this machine, I couldn't turn it over by hand. Also, the motor wasn't coming on. So I cleaned it up first with simple green. Then used some polish to get some of the imperfections out. Then wiped the outside down with linseed oil. I got the machine unstuck and then got the motor going. After a lot of cleaning, oiling, greasing, I had gotten it to this point. This was with the button on the foot pedal pushed all the way down. https://vimeo.com/153419262 |
