Wow! You did great! A 301, a Bernina, all the fiddlies, a table, rulers, more. And if I understand right, for about $50? How did you find these?

The joke may be on me though. The Bernina's got a lot of work yet to encourage it to go. The 301 is due for its bath today or tomorrow, then I'll sew on it and see if I prefer it to my short bed. I like the rehab part (except when they've been peed on) of the sewing machines. I do more of that than sewing.

Well, DH must have been restless on Saturday, because he wanted to go to the Antique show anyway. Who am I to argue if the man feels like shopping! I found a glass bottle of Singer oil I couldn't resist taking home.

Yup, $51 total. It was complete and utter dumb luck. The table was given to the lady I got it from (I'd fixed her serger), she said she didn't have room for it, and could I use it for working on machines. I saw it and instantly thought cutting table, and told her that. She was happy to see it go to someone who would use it.

The rest was all a moving sale that was advertised in the Buy and Sell. The 301 was priced too high for a machine that didn't work, so I showed her what was wrong (the handwheel didn't turn) and she asked what I would pay for it. We agreed on the $40. The Bernina was not "for sale" but I asked because the ad had said there were sewing machines and she mentioned that her friend across the street (the other half of the moving sale) had one that didn't work, and to ask her about it. I wandered over, and that's what I found. I got the Singercraft guide with the Bernina, she didn't know what it was, and was going to throw it out.

I did drop the machine I'd promised the Bernina lady off on Saturday when we went in to the Antique sale. She was pretty happy, and I think surprised to see us so soon.
