Default Riccar Treadle.

I have a new...ish machine. Its my grandma's any info will be appreciated. I'll post pics once I'm off the road. Its a treadle, that has survived a few house floods so the wheel doesnt move but the paint is good.

foufymaus,

Oil, oil, oil, oil, and more oil. Let it soak. Gradually work the moving parts and keep pouring the oil to it. Once it moves take it apart and wire brush and derust everything. If the treadle iron frame has rollers on it soak them and if that doesn't loosen them up, get a propane torch and heat 'em up hot then hose 'em with oil. The heat will allow the oil to work into the parts.

As for the machine, same as above except the torch. If you need heat use a hair drier.
