I guess it is possible. I received an Email reply from Judy at the above link. The Singer plant was closed down in 1968 and all records were destroyed. She also mentioned that the foot controller is not original, which I knew, but the 306 machines originally came with style B1 foot controllers.

Here is Sophia mounted in the "Purple Passion" Singer 66 cabinet. I have not found a thing I do not love about this sewing machine. I thought you might like to see a pic of her stitch plate and presser foot also. I can sew a PERFECT 1/4 inch seam with that foot and I can swing the needle to do a scant 1/4 inch.
Sorry for the poor picture, poor lighting conditions equal poor pictures. See that piece of paper on the sewing machine's bed? That is a piece of 1/4 inch graph paper I sew on to check the seam allowance width.
