How to treadle - video by Muv
Muv has made a new video!!! This one is about treadling a sewing machine.
I think it will work for other machines - she is using a 1913 Serata Sewing Machine.

Grab a cup of tea and enjoy the video
Thank you Muv!

LOL, As soon as we get our main computer fixed I'll watch the video. I have four treadles and can make them go pretty decently. But I'm open to any tips that can help me with them.
My wife just can't get the rhythm to keep the treadle going. It wants to stall on her all the time.

I got to watch the video. I have gone through the exact same thing as Muv relates in the video. Start - stop - start - stop and so on.
I love to use mine, but I really like long stitching runs a lot more than start and stop projects.
My #2 Singer 66 treadle is sensitive enough that I can 'feel' which way it's going and much of the time I can start it without touching the hand wheel.
They are really fun when you finally get the hang of it and can keep them going without them backing up on you.
Muv, my wife likes your shoes, do they have a name?
