I got to watch the video. I have gone through the exact same thing as Muv relates in the video. Start - stop - start - stop and so on.
I love to use mine, but I really like long stitching runs a lot more than start and stop projects.

My #2 Singer 66 treadle is sensitive enough that I can 'feel' which way it's going and much of the time I can start it without touching the hand wheel.

They are really fun when you finally get the hang of it and can keep them going without them backing up on you.

Muv, my wife likes your shoes, do they have a name?
