Hi Steve,

What is it? Is this a hand crank or just missing the irons?

I'm surprised you're not after it Steve.

It is a Wheeler & Wilson Wide Lowbed. Early enough that it does not have the center brass medallion.

Yep, missing the irons, but they are actually easier to find than the 1/2 case that this has, with one of the drawers still there.

I have a complete one that is from about 1872. I do not have the room for two... believe me....

It's really interesting looking. Jon - I just noticed your avatar - love the glass (plexi glass?) case!

This machine was owned by George Huffman, the man largely responsible for bringing Davis from Watertown, NY to Dayton, O in 1889 and resides in a Dayton museum. The machine was made around 1889 and the motor appears to have been added at a later date. I'd imagine this was a one of a kind machine. I'd fall over if I saw something like this for sale in the wild and would be tempted to trade my first born
