I found a similar machine at an antique shop. They wanted $100 for it. I had $75 plus a few 1's so I plaid under $80.
Had a repair guy look at it & it didn't need much done to it BUT price would have been $200+ to have it done. I decided to wait. I posted pics last June. They are pretty machines.

Are you capable of rewiring and/or rebuilding this machine if it does not sew? Antique sewing machines are one thing, antique junk holders are something else.

I'm pretty handy. While I've not worked on one of these before, I can rewire it and do a thorough cleaning and lube on it. I'll check on it later this week.

Just a follow up. Over two months later, I've stopped back several times to check on this White FR. No price tag. I ask about it at the check out and they tell me they don't know who the seller is. Really??? So the other day I stopped by again and put a yellow sticky note on it asking them to put a price tag on the machine. Maybe at some point, the owner will come check on his/her wares and notice it. It just kills me how clueless some vendors are about their merchandise. Grrrrrr.

You sure it wasn't a museum not an antique shop?

I paid $25 for mine in a bentwood case. I think it is a 1926 model. My wiring looks better than that, but I still don't trust it. We are both fortunate that the T plate isn't missing.
