Default Thought it was a doorstop, maybe not!

I bought what I thought was a decoration for my sewing room years ago for 6 bucks and change. But I'm looking at it with new eyes after all the reading I've done here. Maybe it's not a doorstop after all. The serial number is AH686690 it's a 15 right? It's missing the power cord and foot pedal. I misplaced the plate duh! How do I know if its a 15-91? Is the foot pedal separate from the power cord? In going to use muv's video and clean and oil this baby up.

if you can share the serial number we might be able to give a more definitive answer

When I looked up the serial number AH686690 on ISMACS it says its a 15, 35,000 were made on June 21, 1948. It is the model that the US Government gave Japan permission to copy and mass produce after World War II. Right? I love history.

if you call Singer on Monday they can give you a more "accurate" answer. (assuming the DB is accurate for that part...)

:"To date your Singer machine you should call 1-800-4-Singer with the serial number or email your serial numbers to Singer at [email protected]."

Is the DB not always accurate? I looked up a friends new Featherweight and it didn't match up.

It's a beauty! Here's an article on cleaning you might be interested in reading even though this is about a treadle:
