Actually, this one is not out of line...it's a 222K, and I've seen them go for $1500, but not lately!

Have not seen any listed at that price in Canada, but then again I don't look all that often. I got looking this morning and found 2 that I would get, if I had the room and didn't have to hassel family and friends to fetch and get for me. LOL! One of those was a hand crank in a coffin and I know I wouldn't even be able to use it due to the corperal tunnel. House bound with freezing weather must be affecting me more than I thought.

I have that same exact machine (decal pattern) and it's manufacture date is 1892. I can't believe it!! I"ve never seen another one like it until now. I got mine at a thrift store, in a cabinet for $80.00. The decals were so beautiful I couldn't leave it behind.

Me either. But I think that the decal design may be what is called "Cornflower" and I think it may have been hand painted. Doesn't ISMACS or Treadle On have a page for decal designs? I should print it out for future reference. I also noticed the attachments box. There is one attachment in that jumble that sort of looks like the "What Is It?" I asked about.

OHOH I thinks I am in trouble (or love)! I have been back to that machine more times than enough today. Will be watching to see if it comes down in price and how long it stays posted.

Sigh. Antique? I like my 99s, but I don't think they fall under "highly sought after by collectors," more of great useable vintage sewing machine.

Especially when I can get one for this bargain price!

And that last one you linked to isn't a 306. I just love it when they give you manuals that have nothing to do with the machine they're selling! How long does it take to google and check on what you're actually selling?
