Vintage Sewing Machine Shop.....Come on in and sit a spell
Oh Nancy she does look elegant in her new cabinet!!! So much better than being in a cheap looking plastic box. I know Glenn seems to be enjoying his 319 too. Good job !!!

Hey Pattie - I can take a pic this weekend. I gave my grandaughter a Domestic 153 not long ago. If you can wait till Sunday, I'll PM you when I post it.

My 301 FMQs wonderfully. Any errors are the operator, not the machine. I do not drop the feed dogs, just release some of the pressure. That works better for me. I bought my foot from April1930sshoppe and love it. I've done 5 or 6 large lap quilts and not one pucker. I have been semi looking for another 301 as a back up.

Charlee, The felt is blue. The divider slips inside the drawer with attachment anchored to it. The number under the shuttle cover slide plate is 528. The number on the shuttle cover slide plate is 67488 last patiented May 12, 1885. I have most of the attachments. Does your irons have the decals still on them? Mine does just has to be cleaned.

My irons still have the decals, "Vertical Feed" on the circular part of the back (on both sides) scrolls on the legs, and stars on the flywheel. Not *all* of them are there, but the majority are. We tried to be really careful when we did paint touchups not to mess up what was left of them...did a pretty good job of avoiding those areas. It's one of my favorite machines!
Nancy, that set up ROCKS!!
Y'all are making me want "one of everything"!! LOL

My 301's
I bought this black 301 this week in a sad cabinet. I had to disassemble the hook as it was wrapped in thread, re-time it, then disassemble the tension and clean. The machine wasn't too dirty, but there was goop all over it. I think the prior owner used to put tape on it as reminders or something! Anyway, some paint chips etc. for its age, but it works great now after about 4 hours of TLC. Also, a family photo of the 3, 301's I have. I feel kind of guilty for having 3 of them now!!! But, 301's seem to have turned into my 'specialty' and refurbishing 3 of them has taught me a lot.
