Default walking foot for featherweight

I have a 50s featherweight and would like to use it at my quilt guild to bind charity quilts. Does anyone have a walking foot?? and does it work OK?? Where do I get one??

Than-- Mim

I haven't used a walking foot on my FW, but the one that I use on my 15-91 does fit the FW. They both have the low shank. I did buy one for my FW but haven't used it yet. You can order one from April1930s.com.

The same walking foot is cheaper at Sew Classic.

I have one for my FW, but haven't used it in a long time as I now have a Pfaff. The walking foot worked fine on the FW.

I think a walking foot will be great on a featherweight. My mom uses a walking foot on her treadle machine.

April1930's sells a walking foot that fits the narrower feed dogs of a FW perfectly! I have one and it works great.

I got this one from sew-classic.com: http://shop.sew-classic.com/Low-Shan...tch-P60400.htm.

It works great.

Does anyone have a source for the narrow feed dog FW walking foot with the part that screws onto the needle bar being made of metal instead of plastic? I have had the experience a few times where the plastic ones break after time.
