What a great idea, and a fantastic score! Love to hear that the little ones are interested in sewing. I have fond memories of my mom teaching me how to sew when I was a child.

The aluminium ones were only ever made in Scotland and are extremely common in the UK and Australia, and Canada too, I hear. You'd be better off searching for one from Canada, as they use the same voltage motors as you (in the U.S.)

Don't you just love Freecyle! I have one of these 201's, I use it more than my other vintage machines, I think that is because it weighs a lot less and is easier for me to lift! Enjoy the teaching!

p.s. please let us see the photos if you do decoupage the case.
