Default We All Love a Bargain!!!!

I have been asked to teach a child to use a sewing machine. My Janome 7700 is not the machine to teach a novice to sew!!! Flash of inspiration......try Freecycle!!!! Never know your luck!!! I advertised for a basic machine !! This morning a gentleman contacted me offering one!!! Collected it this afternoon! Outer case bit dirty....but...hey it was FREE! Got it home and......TA da!! A Singer 201k!! Wash and brush up, oiled...new needle.......sews perfectly!!!! I am one VERY happy Girl!!!

Nice looking machine! I would remove the old fabric and decoupage the case with quilt pictures or sewing patterns.

I know how you feel. My dear old friend gave me her 221 featherweight. It just sews beautifully. She (Natalie) goes wherever I go to quilt. Enjoy your teaching. My great aunt taught me to sew on her treadle in the early 50's. If I had only known how special that machine was I would have kept it- but then I went away to college and never really returned to that home again. Don't know what my parents did with it. Makes me sick. But I really enjoy Natalie. Have fun

It's identical to the one on the sewing bee last week. Great find.
