Singer treadle machine #115
My mom moved to assisted living and i got her Singer treadle machine, model # 115. I traced the serial number and found that it was built in New Jersey in 1915. It was originally owned my mom's great grandmother. I learned to sew on this machine and I am thrilled to have it now.
I have been doing some research on it and the one thing I can not find out is the purchase price of this machine in 1915. I have the original owners manual and attachments that go with the machine but not the sale receipt. Does any one know an aprox. price of this machine when it was brand new? I think it would be an interesting thing to add tot he history of this machine. Thanks in advance.

I did a quick search and found these:

These aren't exact prices but gives you an idea.
It would be interesting to find an original sales receipt from around that time.

I gave many machines to the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn about 30 years ago the 115 was one of them. I kept one for myself as I was downsizing. You wouldn't think that now with everything I have collected in the years since. I couldn't tell you what it cost new as I gathered this one from an auction.
