Here's some pics of the way I've been doing qayg. I think I learned this from the CrazyShortcutQuilts site or videos.

The first photo shows the front side 1 3/4" strip, folded in half, sewn to the top and the back side 1 1/8" strip sewn to both blocks. I've offset the 'blocks' so the stitching is easier to see.

I do it this way so I can machine stitch the top, but the process can be reversed if you want to stitch from the back.

The 2nd photo shows the back view with the 1 1/8 strip sewn to both blocks

The 3rd photo shows the front view.

Sorry I haven't done a tutorial. I'm spending most of my time trying to find work before the unemployment runs out in 5 weeks.

sew folded strip to front and narrower unfolded strip to the back - all lined up on the edge of the block, then sew other side of the narrower strip to back of the next block.
