Definitely charge for the fabric/thread. As for pattern you could use the same pattern that is used with toe Downy QFK quilts. It's just a 4-patch alternated with a block. You can get the free pattern on the website. Then it will be quick and easy. I have made quite a few of them and they go really fast. Then you just need to charge for your time. I would probably would only add an additional $20 for my time if I used this pattern...it's that easy and it is family. That's just my opinion.
