I was wondering, can you use panels for the QFK's? I found this really neat, and contrasty/bright material called Monsters in the Closet by Sue Marsh for RJR. The monsters are friendly looking, not at all scary. I have the panel and a border print that I thought I could use for a different quilt with a pieced center. here are pics of the fabrics, colors may be a little richer in real life. What do you think? I could cut them apart and add coordinating fabric, but it is printed to look sashed with bright colors. I just don't want to do anything wrong. Got the top pieced from the fabric they send. So am planning one from fabric I have (bought this yesterday, so I have it now 8-) ) It has such a nice hand, is cotton, but is so silky.

Panel, Could be used as border with coordinating fabric blocks as center
