The best pattern to use up scraps was by Sewing With Nancy and called Scrap Happy Quilts. It is no longer in print but you can watch it on QNNTV if you pay for it.
It is simply useing strips cut 1 1/2. 2 1/2, 3 1/2, 4 1/2 and 5 1/2 in.
Combine them in any order as long as they measure out at 6 1/2 in. Example use three 2 1/2 in strips to get 6 1/2 in.
A 5 1/2 plus a 1 1/2 = 6 1/2.
Then you cut your combinations into 6 1/2 in blocks. Combine into 12 1/2 in blocks.
The combinations are limitless if you cut the 6 1/2 in strips into differnt size combinations to get the 6 1/2 in blocks.
You will need at least 13 different fabrics.
It is the most fun to make quilt ever.
