I think all of us here on the board understand that there are all levels in a swap. (It's required here). The beginners do what they can and the advanced do what they can. If everyone does their best you end up with a great quilt. It gives the more advanced quilters a chance to show their stuff and help the beginners with advise and suggestions. It gives the beginners a chance to see what a really well made block looks like and hopefully learn something for the next swap we are in.
I love the swaps here. I'm sure I will never get too good to swap with beginners!
The key is everyone does their best!
Not knowing your group it's hard to say whether you should stay in or not. how do you feel about teaching? Maybe at a meeting you could talk about chicken blocks and how to do what you do.
