When my youngest son started dating his now wife she was here one weekend when we were having a girls quilting day. (myself, 2 daughters and daughter in law) One of the girls said you can come and join us or just sit there and watch but we would love you to join us. She did and now makes quilts for their 2 boys. I am so lucky that all my girls quilts plus the 6 and 8 year old love to quilt also. Mary is only 2 so we don't know if she likes it yet or not. In fact the 8 year old asked for a quilting kit for her birthday from Grandma so I made her a kit with some Pieces Hexagons shapes, think 11/2", some 3 " squares of fabric, pins, pin cushion, needle threaderss etc and she was just so happy. She likes to try the hexagons when I am making mine.
