so, here is the story.
My niece and my family lives in Europe.
When my Mom got married in 1947, her cousin from New Jersey send her a set of bedding. It was beautiful fabric. In last 25 years if has been hanging in my parents attic. Every time I visited I would go there to look for old things. Few years ago, I found the sheet and brought it with me to USA. When my niece was getting married and I decided to make her quilt, and since she was my Mom's favorite granddaughter (the youngest) I decided to use that fabric in the quilt. Since the fabric was a bit frail in places, picked the best and used as small squares.
My niece and my Mom and the rest of the family had tears in their eyes when I told them about the fabric, taking it to the States,etc.
I wish I could write better, but this is the story behind the 4patch quilt.
