You can ask them out of consideration if you can make to sell to get their permission or else with posting a tutorial or how to do, then one could put in their article that it is ok to make and resell if they want. You can always do what you want to with items you have made from patterns.
Just because someone puts a tutorial on a blog without explicit copyright notices doesn't mean it's not copyrighted! The instant you create a work it's copyrighted. The creator always has the "rights to the copy."
