I feel your pain. When my DH and I married we sold his house (smaller than mine and in a deteriorating neighborhood) and he moved in with me. When his two small children also moved in my sewing/painting room had to be put in a 4 1/2'x 5 1/2' linen closet. It just about drove me crazy but with the help of some flat storage boxes to put under beds and some very creative uses of other furniture we made it through until we could get a bigger place. Have you considered some of those Space Saver bags?
