Here's a hint - it doesn't have anything to do with sewing but everything to do with bill paying. For years I have kept a notebook (3 ring binder type), across the top of the page are the months, down the right side is the list of monthly bills, at the bottom of that column are the bills that are quarterly, bi-yearly, yearly - when a bill gets paid I put a check mark in the month column, then I can see at a glance what has been paid, what needs to be paid, etc
You can also keep track of auto-pays so you know if you entered them into the checkbook, etc.
This has helped me tremendously over the years - I always know what's been paid, what needs to be paid, remind myself to take off the autopays, etc
