This is a hot topic! It seems that it is super confusing at times. There are sites that let you get the pattern and use it, but if you make the block, you have to "name" it their block name. If I am making a quilt for a family member with blocks called turnips (just a random name :-)) why on earth would I call the quilt turnips? I want to name my quilt something that would be meaningful to the family member.
