LOVE my 66 and I am trying to locate another one that is the side clamp and has the back tack feature for regular use in my studio. After using yours for a while you will see what I mean you can not help but to love it!! I can see why they were such a popular model.
Industrials like the 29's and 31's had like 18 and 20 inch throats. But as far as domestic I think the full sized machines (27, 66, 127, 15, and so on) had like a 9" throat I think. I will have to measure mine to see for sure, but it is plaenty of room for doing a King sized quilt on including FMQ.
