After you have all the 4 patches done you will need to add in the odd row of squares. I added them so there are rows of 4 patches and then the bottom half and the side 4 patches then become 6 instead of 4. When you need to trim -- trim them to 3/4" from the seam. Sew the swatch on first and then measure. Don't cut the swatch before you sew it on.
When you sew the last row together make sure you remember to trim them before you join them together.
