The 'quilting is my passion' tutorial is the exact way that I learned to do the mile-a-minute blocks....notice the long strip that you attach the scraps to, then string piece another strip with more scraps....miles and miles of these can be done...now they are calling the technique 'crumb chaos' or 'crumb blocks'. Either way it is a stress buster as well as a scrap buster!
But I was taught to square up by cocking the square ruler at an angle to get a more crazy appearance, while this person is cutting them very 'square' giving them more of a 'log cabin' appearance.
Fun part about it is that you can do what YOU want to do!
