I looked at this thread yesterday and I did some research and I was so blown away. I researched Jane A. Stickle, examined pictures of the original quilt, went on blogs and looked at others' Dear Janes and I have to say that I think it's beyond my skill level.
I'm very impressed with it though. It's a very touching piece of history.
I'm going to have to pass on it though.
But, I am looking forward to our other block swap.
You know what though? For what it's worth, for that particular kind of quilt, I would think you all should do a whole row. There are thirteen 4.5" squares per row. But, it's such intricate work. And the triangles! Wow.
To do a quilt like that justice, it would take a looooooooong time.
