I have to add my two cents.
A few years back I made a fall leaves quilt for my step-daughter. The pattern called for one direction quilting, much like you have here. The idea was to give the impression of the wind blowing through the leaves. I think that's exactly what you have going with your quilting right now. I vote to put a binding on it and call it done! :lol:
