We dug the machine head a few hours ago to investigate. This is fiddle base. Under the plate that is open is only the number 6. I think it is my Damascus that has serial numbers in this same place.
Notice the etching in the body. We can't find any other defining numbers on the machine. Where the badge was, we can make out a clear capital I. Any ideas on this machine?

You have a pretty nice machine and I hate that it fell apart on you, this is a fairly rare machine. Preserve it the best you can and if you still have the cabinet the thats all the better. I wish the irons were intact but they can be welded but the chances of you finding the right set for it will be slim to none, but still a possibility.
