I mentioned awhile ago that I had pictures of quilt show I had been to over the years. I live in a little rural town in SE Iowa. We have a celebration in the fall called Old Settlers to commemorate the founding of our town in the 1800s. There has been a quilt show in the church on the square every year until last year. The lady who organizes it now had the church reserved and people lined up to bring their quilts but the powers that be decided it wasn't necessary to have a quilt show anymore!! Can you believe that?!! There was a great upcry from all the quilters in the area so I understand there will be a quilt show this year for sure!! LOL
These pictures were taken a few years ago. I took them for my own inspiration so I didn't take alot of the whole quilt. Plus alot of the quilts were laid over the pews so it is hard to see some of them. I hope you enjoy anyway!
These are elements of the same quilt with the birds being the center. Sorry I wish I had taken a pic of the whole quilt but I didn't.

The red and white is a handkerchief quilt and I was fascinated with it!

The quilt on the bottom left was draped over the pulpet (podium)so it looks funny.

I was interested in the borders on some of these.
