I suggest consulting a dealer of the foot about the problem. I do't understand the reason that "it has to be moved aside" before it will work......I don't believe I have ever heard of a walking foot breaking. Do you have a machine dealer close by that you can take it in to. What machine do yu have and is it a machine specific walking foot.
