That doesn't look right at all to me. I know with my Janome I cannot use a thumb screw in order to attach the walking foot to the shank. I have to use a regular screw as the thumb screw hits the walking foot.
I ended up finding a generic low shank walking foot at Joann's that I have no problem with. My one for the Janome cost $33.00, the generic was only $15.00 plus if you use a 40% off coupon, it brings it down to under $10.00. But again, this is for a low shank and I can't see what yours is.
