Nothing is cut wrong. I can see in the photo that the pink and some other spots look wrinkly, but they press out fine.
Problems came from the fact (I think) that I did not starch. I could not starch all the little pre-cut strips so I was very careful with them. Then I simply forgot to starch the other fabrics and the top/bottom triangles really needed it.
When it came time to put the 5 braid strips together with the separator bands and inner borders, the whole thing gave me fits. At this point, both sides of the braids are a 45-degree bias and each color strip has to match up straight across the quilt. That's well over 300 points to match up ... with separator bands in between them. I had a lot of problems with that but finally, after much seam ripping and re-stitching, I thought I had it all correct. However, when I spread it out to photograph it, I found one little pouffy part that did not want to lay flat. But, it is very little and I believe it will all quilt o.k.
