I've got a ton of the polyester serger thread cones, like you bought, that now since I've stopped serging clothes for my kids is sitting collecting dust:< Don't use it for quilting, as it's a very weak thread and is supposed to be used with 3 or 4 other threads(as in a serger) to create a stable seam.
