We havn't watched television in 16 years, not even the news. We do have a "TV" to watch videos and DVD's but when it just me and DH we watch about 1 movie every 3 mos.
There are so many better things to do than sit and watch the "tube"
My kids were raised with out television. It was hard to convince their teachers that they don't watch TV and had to sometimes put together alternate assignments for them to do instead of watching a certain show. We are HUGE into reading and used to read to them EVERY night. They loved it.
Now that they are mostly out of the house they still watch hardly any TV. Mostly cause their DH's want to watch a little.
