I'm so excited to find this message board! I've sewn for almost all of my life. About 14 years ago I learned to smock/embroidery and had a retail heirloom sewing supply store for a while. I've always wanted to learn to quilt. A few months ago I decided to take the plunge. I ordered a kit from Fons & Porter and a few beginner quilting books and began to teach myself. I've finished my 2nd lap quilt and working on a 3rd! I think I'm hooked!
