In Massachusetts recently we had a huge water pipe break open sending something like 800 gallons of water an hour into the Charles River. We had a ban on water from the tap and had to boil all water for drinking, cooking and washing dishes, also for brushing teeth. Like many people I have an electric stove so with 2 large pots of water boiling all day for several days my electric bill went thru the roof. Same thing with the water bill. Any suggestions on getting a credit on these charges ?
