Hey girl, I'm the queen of unfinished projects.
When my son was a smart 5 year old, he wanted me to make
him a quilt with all his favorite things, which he drew (sorta)
as a pattern for me.
I embroidered and appliqued a Monarch butterfly, a picture of
his darling Doberman Kurt, his favorite tennis racquet, etc.
I made enough for a twin quilt, then broke my ankle and other
bits of life kept getting in the way.
So just a few months ago I found them in cleaning out a closet
after my DH passed away...3 years ago. So now I'm going to
make my DS his quilt, which will be lap robe sized. I'm planning
on giving it to him for his birthday this May 28.
He'll be 42 then.
