It sounds beautiful. I like tone on tone and I am presently working on a bargello with 18 shades of red. I have to give Carol Doak credit for this idea, but I have used it several times with success. She says to "check BOTH sides of the fabric - after all you paid for them both". Sometimes you can get lucky, and no one would ever guess that the lighter version is just a back of a darker one. Looking forward to seeing you finished quilt. I think of tiny prints as a little salt in the stew.
