The basic supplies are already listed . As for pattern/fabric do you know who you want this quilt for ? Sometimes I just walk around the store and let the fabric talk to me :wink: if you have a library go there and look for quilt books, especially how to or beginner books.
You will also get a lot of help and advice here :lol:
Simple patterns are the basic 4 patch or 9 patch, Rail fence. I would start small and simple. Don't get discouraged we all make mistakes and you just learn form them .
But the most important thing is relax and HAVE FUN !
