Love your quilt. I've made rag quilts from the Simplicity pattern#4993, they are shaped like a cat, dog & bear. It said to use cotton batting, which I have done, but I like your idea of the med. weight flannel better, because you could cut everything out at once. When I use the batting, I have to cut the batting smaller than the main pieces, which takes a lot of time. Plus, I'm sure that the flannel would be alot cheaper to make. Thanks for the info.
