I would have talked my husband into buying a house at a younger age. Is grandmother offered us her 3 story home in the city with a full basement and full attic for $17,000. My husband wanted nothing to do with the city (Albany, NY).
So we declined.
Three years later a fellow who worked with my husband had who had bought the house sold it for $130,000. I could kick my DH.
My DH did not want to own property. Now that we have a little over 2 years left to pay on the house, he agrees I was right all along.
I told him, "I know, that's why my mug reads "Mrs. Always Right!"!
