When you do filled designs, not only are they scratchy on the skin, they also pull on the fabric when is washed. The ones with letters are probably a better choice. The stabilizer is usually pulled away so it doesn't matter which one you use, unless you use a cut away one. The best I have used for this purpose is called Steady Stuff by Ricky Tims. It comes as 8.5 x 11 inches or on a roll. You can cut it away or leave some of it around. When wet it becomes like a real soft poly and doesn't hurt when it rub against the skin.
