OK, I thought kaleidoscope and hexagon (one block wonder) were interchangable. Sounds like kaleidoscope has 8 sides.
I see now that you're looking for quilting ideas. I haven't finished my hexagon quilt and have not thought about how to quilt it other than stippling. Sorry I'm no help to you.
